Booking & Payment

All rental orders must be secured in advance.

A non-refundable retainer may be required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due prior to your event date. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Late Returns

All items must be returned within the agreed timeframe.

Late returns may result in:

  • Additional rental charges

  • Deductions from the security deposit

This ensures availability for subsequent bookings.

Acceptance of Terms

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for all rental orders.

This deposit is held during the rental period and is returned within 2–5 business days following the return and inspection of all items. Deductions may be made in the case of damage, missing items, or late returns.


Rental Period

Rental items are provided for a pre-agreed period.

Client Pickup Orders:

Items are typically collected prior to the event and must be returned by the agreed return time (commonly next-day by 12PM unless otherwise arranged).

Delivery Orders:

Delivery and pickup timing will be scheduled and confirmed in advance.

Late returns may result in additional fees.

Delivery & Pickup

Cancellations

We offer both client pickup (Richmond) and delivery services across Greater Vancouver.

Pickup: Complimentary and scheduled by appointment

Delivery: Available at an additional cost, quoted based on location, order size, and logistics

Delivery includes drop-off only unless setup services are requested. Pickup times must be respected to ensure availability for other bookings.

Clients are responsible for the safe and proper use of all rental items.

Items must be used as intended and handled with care. Opal Events Collective is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from misuse of rental items.

Setup services may be added upon request for a fully hands-off experience.

Clients assume full responsibility for all rental items during the rental period.

Any items that are:

  • Damaged

  • Lost

  • Stolen

  • Returned excessively soiled

will be subject to repair, cleaning, or replacement fees. These costs may be deducted from the security deposit, with additional charges applied if necessary.

All payments made are non-refundable.

In certain cases, rescheduling may be accommodated based on availability, but is not guaranteed.
